The CHANGING CITIES IV International Conference venue is at the Cultural Centre of Chania (Πνευματικό Κέντρο Χανίων)

CHANIA – THE HOST CITY OF THE CONFERENCE

Chania is the second largest city of Crete Island. It is located along the north-west coast of Crete, about 145 km (90 mi) west of the capital city Heraklion. The population of the city is about 54,000 inhabitants, while the regional unit as a whole has population of about 110,000 inhabitants.

TRAVELLING TO CHANIA, CRETE.

Please note that in Crete June is high season period, so ticket and room availability is expected to be extremely limited if arrangements are not made will in advance.

Basic travel directions and accommodation suggestions, can be found below.

One can visit Chania either by plane or by boat.

The Organizing Committee has arranged for the conference participants a pre-booking of rooms in hotels and B/B, at special prices, as presented in the following two tables.
