Scientific associate of the Earthquake Planning and Protection Organization (1997 - 2002). Member of the scientific secretariat of the National Council for Spatial Planning and Sustainable Development (2002 - 2004). Chairman of the Management Board of the Organization of Administration and Management of the Environmental Awareness Park “Antonis Tritsis” (2010 - 2011). Chairman of the Management Board of the Public Law Entity «Green Fund» (2011-2013).
Associate Lecturer at the University of Thessaly / Department of Planning and Regional Development (2001 - 2005). Tutor at the Hellenic Open University: Postgraduate course “Environmental design of cities and buildings” (2001 to date). Coordinator of the Module “PSP51: Design, Environmental Consequences and Methods for their Evaluation”. (2006 to date).
Research projects, presentations, scientific studies and publications, mainly in the field of urban planning & urban growth, urban environmental planning, land use planning, open space planning, urban regeneration, systems and design methods, urban transformations, planning of metropolitan areas, urban mega events, institutional framework for urban planning, impacts of socio – economic changes on the space.
